On the topic of the microphone, I see that certain mobile messaging and
voice chat applications have been discussed on being included. There was
one specifically in an issue I can't find at the moment but is add-on
for mumble to work over a hidden service like OnionShare but for voice
chats.

If that is the case tails should automatically obfuscation/mask the
users voice (voice changer) by default since voice fingerprinting is a
thing. Also just like you see whistleblowers and sources hide their
voices on videos and interviews.

This is a good video on setting up "Carla" with Pipewire but the Jack
module with PulseAudio is similar:
