Dear all,
Today we didn't really have a meeting with discussion and taking
decisions. Instead, we just discussed some of the tasks that Javier and
I can manage.
Next meeting is on Friday the 2nd of October!

Here you have the log of today's call:

## Saturday the 5th of September 13UTC

### People

ilario, javierbrk

### Topics

We did not really do a meeting, we just discussed some of the open tasks.

### DNS IPv6 for libremesh.org

Gothos and Ilario realized that with a broken IPv6 AAAA DNS record,
Letsencrypt refuses to issue a valid HTTPS certificate. So Gothos asked
NicoEchaniz (Altermundi) to update that record. Javier managed to get
the direct contact of Codigosur from NicoE, so he should be able to ask
directly for changes, without the need to ask NicoE.

### Merging the GSoC 2024 by VGDSpehar

The GSoC work is here
https://github.com/VGDSpehar/libremesh-virtual-mesh and should be merged
into the tools/ directory of the lime-packages folder.
And its readme should be merged into
https://github.com/libremesh/lime-packages/blob/master/VIRTUALIZING.md
It would be great if VGDSpehar can do that. Ilario is going to write an
email to them.

Also, Javier packaged vwifi for OpenWrt, that makes the whole
"virtualization with wireless communication" easier to setup. He maybe
will push this package to OpenWrt's repository, at some moment in the
future.
https://github.com/javierbrk/vwifi_cli_package

As a plus, someone should address some suggestions for improvements to
the virtualization.md file listed here:
https://github.com/libremesh/lime-packages/issues/1172

### APuP

Javier fixed some Batman-adv related things on top of G10h4ck's work on
APuP (a novel way to connect router-to-router, layer 1 mesh using AP-Sta
drivers). Then, Javier addressed Gio's comments, but Gio's request for
changes is still blocking the merge.
https://github.com/libremesh/lime-packages/pull/1200

### shared-state-async

#### log level

Shared state async is spamming the logs with toooo many useless
warnings. To disable them is a must, and should be done setting a lower
log level inside the code, where a RetroShare library gets imported.
https://github.com/libremesh/shared-state-async
reduce logging level
include rsdebug 3 => include rsdebug 2
Ilario will try to do this.

#### static linked libstdcpp

In order to avoid installing the whole libstdcpp (> 1 MB) the lib can be
included with static linking

Javier is going to improve this
https://github.com/libremesh/shared-state-async/pull/2

then G10h4ck should review it. finally this should be updated and merged:

https://github.com/libremesh/lime-packages/pull/1218
