*Overview*
NATO has become a flashpoint for Trump’s disordering of the world. He’s
giving his so-called allies in Europe a good kicking, politically and
economically. He’s demanding vast sums are spent on weapons and war,
preferably from US companies. And he’s pushing them to support his latest
criminal war on Iran. Not all leaders of the European NATO states have the
principles of the Spanish prime minister – calling out genocide and
opposing the war on Iran. Others embrace the war narrative, spending their
national resources on killing instead of socially useful spending. At this
webinar we ask key questions.
- For how long will Europe go along with Trump’s demands?
- Could this be the end of NATO?
- What will come in its place – and how do we prevent the development of
an even more militarised, pro-war Europe?
