Forgive me if I sent this to wrong place, but unfortunately I do not have an access to Tails GitLab which seems to be the preferred method of requesting new features. So I hope you forgive my trespass and forward this to the right channel if needed.
I am just writing to you to suggest, if you would consider adding systemd-cryptsetup package to Tails. The rationale is that, unfortunately it currently seems be the only available method to open FIDO2 token secured (hmac-secret extension) LUKS2 devices. (For some examples of the process, see for instance: "
https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Systemd-cryptenroll".)
There is an open issue for adding this support to GNOME. Unfortunately it seems to be lacking developer resources at the moment. Here are links to the corresponding issues:
GNOME issue: <
https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/nautilus/-/issues/3507>
Udisks issue: <
https://github.com/storaged-project/udisks/issues/1317>
Thank you,
Sincerely,
anonymous Tails user
