Hello,
The less tech savvy users are not accustomed with using an online
documentation as Tails provide. Instead, they prefer paperback documents
(usually incomplete and not regularly updated).
To prevent them from having misconception or relaying too much on
outdated info, it would be nice to have :
A) Options to automatically make a booklet from the tails documentation
pages in a given language.
B) A better integration of the documentation into everyday tails use.
- a direct link to the documentation on the main screen when opening tails.
- link to the related page of the documentation for each software
included in the documentation on the software menu.
- Having a specific icon for the documentation displayed next to all
the already existing link to the documentation in Tails.
- Adding the link to the documentation to more softwares GUI. Exemple :
"Tor Connect", "Additional Software"...
- Update the already existing link.
Exemple : the links in "Tails Cloner" links to a general use case (and
then, you must choose "Install by cloning from another Tails on PC"). We
should have three different links, one to "Install by cloning from
another Tails on PC", a new documentation page "Install by using an ISO
image" and to "Cloning persistent storage" option should maybe also have
an always existing link to the relevant part of the documentation.
