Version 3.0 beta loads easily but when I click the "off" icon it doesn't
shut the computer off. I have to hold down the computer's on/off button for
6 or so seconds to do a forced shut-down. Before it goes to a blank screen
it says if the machine doesn't turn off completely memory wiping may not
have happened or completed.
This is on a Dell XPS 8500 computer.
I easily downloaded version 3.0 beta, though in a version that wanted to be
burned to a DVD-R. The DVD-R booted up fine, and I was able to clone it to
two different USB thumb drives with no problem. It synced up for Tor
promptly.
I don't use many of the features, so there's not much else I tested. My
version of Tails 2.10 doesn't load smoothly - I have to load it in
"fail-safe mode" and I have to catch that screen quickly or it loads in
normal mode but then never gets to the home desktop - so I may just use
version 3.0 from now on.
