Ah, OK. I've added this (very important) info to the test reports page.

I guess it does (since it is part of our manual test suite), but just
to be 100% sure: does Tails 1.0 boot fine from DVD on Wheezy's
VirtualBox?
If yes, then we are most probably facing a regression in syslinux.
I'm willing to look into this further at some point; so, I wouldn't
mind more detailed info than "doesn't boot at all". Thanks in advance!
