We actually tell ikiwiki (in ikiwiki*.setup) that the sandbox page is
not translatable:
https://tails.boum.org/sandbox/ has no links to the
non-English versions. Still, we have sandbox.*.po files in the source
repository, so ikiwiki tries to do something with it, and fails at
doing anything useful.
I'm tempted to simply drop the sandbox.*.po files from Git, unless
someone thinks it's useful to make this page translatable, which
I would be fine with doing as well.
