You want 1.5.2 to reduce/eliminate hangs on New Identity:

That bug *might* be exacerbated by the Optimistic Data patch (I noticed
it way more frequently after making a debug build with the Optimistic
Data patch, and that patch does change the behavior of
nsISocketTransport in a general way), but it also might still be there
without it.
