Seeking critical-oriented scholars, especially scholars representing
traditionally marginalized groups and traditionally marginalized
scholarship, including scholars of color, feminists, LGBT scholars,
poststructural scholars, etc. with a focus on urban education (broadly
construed) and foundations-oriented issues (broadly construed), to join
others with a similar orientation in an urban education studies doctoral
program at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI). Must
have a strong social justice orientation in teaching, research and service;
experience advising students through the doctorate; a record of external
funding; and a reputation for working collegially with faculty, students,
staff, and community members as we are deepening our partnership with
representatives of the community, especially historically marginalized
populations within the community, so that they participate with us in
planning programs, courses, and research. Annoucement attached.
