Given this step requires proprietary software, you're unlikely to get
any support from us on this specific topic. I'm sorry.
In case it may help, qemu / kvm (optionally with a libvirt frontend)
support USB passthrough using free software only. They're a bit more
complicated to initially setup than VirtualBox, though.
