> Dear members and friends of the European Sociological Association Social Movement Network,
>
> Come to the ESA general conference in Turin next year! This is an open call for panels that you can propose for Turin. As your organizing team, we very much hope that you will propose exciting panels and come to join us in this political moment. The conference theme Crisis, Critique and Change addresses what many of you may experience right now: that people in Europe live in interesting times. Read our call for panels carefully and if you have any question, write back to me. Note that this here is the call for panels, the official call for papers will come at the end of January.

> The upcoming 11th congress of the European Sociological Association is to take place in Turin, Italy from the 28th to 31th of August, 2013. The Social Movements Research Network (RN 25) invites panel proposals contributing to the sociology of social movements and empirical research on mobilisation addressing the conference theme: crisis, critique and change. Comparative work that connects theory and empirical analysis is particularly encouraged. Also panels including a dialogue between activists and scholars are welcome.
>
> Panel proposals should include the following information in order to be considered for selection: panel title; panel abstract (max 300 words); panel chair (and co-chair when appropriate) with academic affiliation and email contact; panel discussant with academic affiliation and email contact. Panel chairs and discussants should come from different institutions.
> Panel proposals should be submitted electronically at the email address of the research network (esasocialmovements@???) by December 15. The selection of panels will be communicated to panel chairs by January 15, together with further instructions and deadlines about call for papers circulation and paper presenters selection.
> This open call for panel responds to ESA members’ demand during the last general conference at Geneva, to be able to propose panels.
