> Candidates should have:

> A completed Doctoral degree in Urban Studies, Sociology, Anthropology, Human Geography, Planning, or Political science. Candidates with a Doctoral degree in a related field, with a strong demonstrable urban and social scientific interest, are also encouraged to apply;
> A publication record that includes articles in international peer-reviewed journals;
> Experience with empirical research and (international) comparative projects;
> Proven teaching experience;
> An excellent command of English, and –if this applies- a willingness to learn Dutch within two years.

> In accordance with our employment policies, you will be offered a temporary contract for two years, with conditions for tenure thereafter agreed upon appointment. Depending on qualifications and experience, the gross monthly salary will be between €3,195.- and €4,970.- for a full time position (38 hrs / week) plus 8% holiday allowance and 8.3% end-of-year allowance, in conformity with the Collective Labour Agreement of Dutch Universities.
