On the eve of the third anniversary of Chuck's death, please find his posthumously published piece "Power and Democracy" (2009) posted online in his memory. Many thanks to Sage for the permission to post it after their initial two-year embargo. This provides better access to this piece by Chuck which appeared as a chapter in a volume that is probably for many not easy to access, the Handbook of Power, edited by Haugaard, Mark, and Stewart Clegg. You can download the PDF here:

Note: even though this volume was published posthumously in 2009, it seems Chuck must have finished his chapter already in 2006 or early 2007 at the latest, given that there are no references in the bibliography more recent than 2006 and given that not even his own book Democracy, published in 2007, is referenced. In any case, it certainly would not be a surprise that Chuck completed his contribution to a collaborative project or edited volume early on...

On another note, I assume that most on this list have already seen the latest issue of Mobilization. For those who have not: you may want to take a look at it. It is a special issue on "Dynamics of Contention Ten Years On" dedicated to the memory and example of Chuck, edited and with an introduction by Doug McAdam and Sid Tarrow.
