Non accettiamo questa guerra e non crediamo che sia inevitabile. =
Siamo contro questa guerra in ogni caso, a prescindere dalle decisioni =
delle Nazioni Unite. C'=E8 un'opposizione massiccia in ogni paese =
d'Europa, e in molti Paesi sta cominciando la mobilitazione per la pace.
Dobbiamo influenzare i governi europei, alcuni dei quali si =
oppongono a questa guerra. Dobbiamo impedire che il nostro paese sia =
coinvolto in alcun modo in questa guerra, n=E9 direttamente n=E9 per vie =
traverse.

La decisione dell'amministrazione Bush di scatenare un'avventurosa =
guerra preventiva contro l'Iraq si presenta come una fase ulteriore e =
successiva di una guerra senza fine, di un conflitto globale permanente, =
e porter=E0 esiti catastrofici ai civili e alle popolazioni irachene e a =
quelle di tutto il Medio Oriente, aggravando il conflitto =
israelo-palestinese.=20
=20
Siamo tutti chiamati alla mobilitazione tempestiva contro gli =
scenari di una guerra che non ci appartiene, che non =E8 motivata se non =
da evidenti logiche imperiali, le cui conseguenze non sono del tutto =
prevedibili nella loro gravit=E0. Questa guerra va fermata e non =E8 =
comunque nel nostro nome.

L'Italia e l'Europa devono diventare fattore di pace nel =
Mediterraneo e nella scena globale, proporre un modello policulturale di =
convivenza, una cultura internazionale dei diritti, un rapporto non =
devastante con le risorse del pianeta, una cultura della pace.

Invitiamo le cittadine, i cittadini, le associazioni, i partiti, i =
sindacati, i movimenti, le personalit=E0 della cultura e dell'impegno =
sociale, a sviluppare il massimo di resistenza alla guerra e a dare vita =
a una grande mobiliazione, da subito.
Il 5 ottobre anche a Lecce ci sar=E0 una iniziativa nel segno di =
"mille piazze per la pace", con "mille modi per dire no alla guerra", =
come in tutta Italia e in altri paesi europei. Iniziamo assieme un =
percorso di mobilitazione e partecipazione.
